David Thurn Valsassena

David Thurn Valsassina, founder of Black Canyon Construction, brings decades of expertise to the industry. Originally from Perth, Australia, he built a successful career in residential construction across Houston and surrounding areas before transitioning to commercial projects in the Hill Country. In 1998, he and his wife, Carol, established Black Canyon Construction, expanding its reach across multiple states. Guided by integrity, hard work, and excellence, David has made Black Canyon a trusted name in the industry, delivering high-quality projects for architects, retailers, and homeowners.

Chase Zachary

Chase Zachary, CEO of Black Canyon Construction, was born in Arlington, Texas, and grew up in Boerne, where he graduated from Boerne High School in 2003. Following his passion for motorsports, he moved to North Carolina and worked as an engine machinist for Richard Childress Racing and Toyota Racing. In 2009, Chase returned to Boerne to join his family’s commercial construction company, building gas stations and retail projects across Texas. Over the years, he advanced from superintendent to project manager, estimator, and now CEO. Chase is dedicated to building with integrity and precision, both in business and at home, where he and his wife, Meagan, are raising four daughters.

Michael Morgan

Michael Morgan is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in the military, oil field industry, and sales. After serving five years in the Marine Corps, he spent 13 years in the energy sector, gaining invaluable expertise. With 3.5 years in sales and development, he has successfully brought in numerous regional clients to Black Canyon, showcasing his adaptability and strong communication skills. His combined experience makes him a versatile, results-driven professional, dedicated to business growth and client relationships.

Logan Green

Logan Green, a Texas native with 15 years in commercial construction, began as a superintendent managing ground-up projects, including retail, medical facilities, and convenience stores. He later served as a construction manager for a fast-growing convenience store brand, overseeing 40 new builds annually and remodels across multiple states. Since joining Black Canyon Construction in 2021, he has risen to Senior Project Manager, handling projects ranging from $2 million to $32 million. A dedicated husband and father of four, Logan's strong faith and integrity guide both his personal and professional life.

Wil Daley

Wil Daley, a skilled Estimator with a strong background in construction management, brings precision and expertise to Black Canyon Construction. A Texas State University graduate, he gained experience in surveying, project management, and estimating at Hard Rock Directional Drilling, Mastec Utilities, and DEA Specialties. Since joining Black Canyon in 2021, he has risen to Lead Estimator, playing a key role in project success. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife Ashley, daughter Clementine, and their loyal companion, Sophie.

Kendra Harding Account Manager

Kendra Harding serves as the Account Manager for Black Canyon Construction, overseeing pay applications, waiver collection, vendor and subcontractor invoicing, and tax compliance. With four years at BCC and prior experience as a family law paralegal in Texas and Oklahoma, she brings strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Kendra manages high-volume project invoicing and ensures timely, compliant submissions across all platforms.
